Nous sommes à l’entrée de la Place Saint-André et tout le monde sait qu’André the Giant est devenu l’une des icônes du street art grâce au travail de l’artiste Shepard Fairey (Obey), qui a intégré le portrait du catcheur dans toutes ses œuvres. Or, dans la biographie officielle de la WWF (World Wrestling Federation) d’André the Giant, celui-ci était né à Grenoble (ce qui est faux, mais quand même…). Madame a donc joué avec le catch, André le Géant et sa chevelure noire frisée, le street art et l’environnement montagnard de notre région. Merci à elle pour toutes ces références cachées dans son œuvre !

We are at the entrance to Place Saint-André, and everyone knows that André the Giant became one of the icons of street art thanks to the work of artist Shepard Fairey (Obey), who incorporated the wrestler’s portrait into all his pieces.
